In 1969 my parents decided they were going to emigrate to Perth Australia, what was then know to be £10 Poms.
Unfortunately my mum fell pregnant with me, the trip to Australia was by boat and took 6 weeks so they would not allow her to sail until after I was born in October of that year.
Sometime in 1970 they set sail and landed in Fremantle Western Australia.
I grew up an Aussie, played the national sport of Australian Rules Football and I great childhood.
In the 1980's we came back a couple of times for what I would call extended holidays so I ended up going to White Lee High School for a year.
My dad got a job in the gold mines so I decided to join him in a small Outback Town called Marvel Loch.
I was too young at the time to work on the mines but it was the 1980's and nobody really cared.
Life on the mines was tough, most of the older miners had no teeth with leather skin, worked hard and drunk hard.
My grandad who lived in Scholes died suddenly so I decided I would have a break from the mines and fly to England for another extended holiday and look after my Grandma
That was over 30 years ago and I am still here with a very Yorkshire accent
Outback Beez came from my time in the Outback, the Z on the end was because my nickname was Oz which is the first and letter in our name
